This letter was sent to all non-disclosing S&P 500 companies urging them to adopt disclosure and accountability of their corporate-funded political spending ahead of the 2012 proxy season. It was signed by the Center and many of its institutional investor partners.

Open Letter to S&P 500 Companies 2010

This letter was sent to all S&P 500 companies, asking them to reveal their policies and plans on independent expenditures in the wake of the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling. It was signed by CPA and allied groups.

 

Open Letter to Non-Disclosing S&P 500 Companies 2010

 

This letter was sent to all non-disclosing S&P 500 companies, urging them to disclose all political contributions they made with corporate funds. The letter also called on corporate boards to approve and review all company political donations. It was signed by CPA, the Council of Institutional Investors, and nearly 50 institutional investors and shareholder advocate groups.
